Luis A Bran is one of Queensland’s most versatile Director/DOPs. With fourteen years of industry experience, working in different roles across many different areas including feature films (San Andreas, The Inbetweeners 2, Mental), television (Sea Patrol, Secrets and Lies, H20: Just Add Water), documentary, TVCs, corporates and music videos, he has polished his skill set under the instruction of some of the most influential national and international filmmakers.
Luis’ passion for film making has allowed him to experiment with different techniques and develop a fluid work ethic, which he brings to every production. His commitment to digital content and corporate videos has enabled him to successfully create an ongoing cliental. Making his feature film directorial debut with the horror thriller Conscious, followed by the B.OLD initiative funded short Visible, he is now turning his focus to larger projects and TVC work where he can expand his industry exposure and creativity.
Luis’ understanding of human emotion and his tenacity to push the visual cements him as an exciting contributor to the motion picture medium. His belief that visuals should always serve the subject matter, allows Luis to consistently create products that not only communicate important messages but also connect emotionally with his audience while still maintaining a unique execution on both the technical and creative aspects of his work.
